Our Windy Adventure

One of the things we love best about California is the natural beauty. Give us a sunny weekend (of which there are plenty here) and we will hop in the car to explore somewhere new. This weekend we decided to drive north of the city to Point Reyes. It was breathtakingly beautiful, but don't let the photos fool you. It was cold and W-I-N-D-Y!

Jon Jon spotted this deer.

We drove to the lighthouse, but could barely get the car doors open because of the wind's force. Once out, one gust practically picked me up with Gigi strapped in the bjorn. We made it about half way through the parking lot and had to turn back to the car!

Safely back in the car.

Gigi's "What were you thinking?" look:)

We weren't leaving in any hurry.

Next we drove to Drake's Beach and snapped some photos.

After a late lunch we were homeward bound. Jon Jon assured me that the Golden Gate would be 100% free of traffic (is it EVER?).
To make the most of our extra time I shot these photos via our sunroof:)

Jon was sure someone with severe road rage was going to attack the car because they thought I was photographing them. Good thing we were following an ambulance;)

Once across, we stopped to watch the sunset from San Francisco.

Alcatraz

It was well worth the trip!
