Viking Fest - 2010

It has been years since I've enjoyed Viking Fest!
I come from a small town on the Puget Sound in Washington. It's called Poulsbo, but is also known as "Little Norway." Every May there is a festival & parade. Since my dad had yet to meet Gigi, we decided to visit my folks & when better to do it than Viking Fest weekend?
Riann also flew into town & Lesley came over from Seattle.
The house was full of girls!

Velkommen Til Poulsbo!

Isn't it a cute town?

Naomi brought her shades.

It's not a Fest without a feast!
Elephant ears, curly fries, gyros, strawberry shortcake, grilled corn on the cob...

Nana & Naomi taking in some trick flying before the parade began.

Naomi adores her Pop-Pop.
She spent most of the pre-parade wait thoroughly entertained by him:)

And then it began!

We loved this viking "ship."

The firefighters - they also run the Three-Alarm Chili booth;)

Naomi was thrilled to catch some candies.

Somebody get that wookie a parasol ASAP! Oh wait, phew...that was close!

The Vikings strolling down main street.
"Your stripes are showing."
After the parade we headed back to Pop-Pop & Nana's house & beautiful backyard.

We picked up this cap for our dress up box. Hopefully we'll make it through airport security;)

Naomi played with her beloved bubbles.

Lesley & Parker's doggy Lola loved catching the bubbles.

Lesley & Parker's new doggie Oliver.

It was fun to be back in Poulsbo!
