After Naomi's class finished their unit on fairy tales they hosted an "open day" for the students' families. We were really excited. I love spending time at Naomi's school. I can't remember ever being surrounded by so many adorable children! We began by following the white rabbit (who actually looks kind of pink?) into the school.
The whole school was decorated top to bottom...and I mean that literally!!! Some was artwork the children had made individually, some were class projects and some were done by the teachers and staff. All was impressive!!!
Inside the classrooms were each decorated for a different fairy tale. The girl's loved Cinderella's stagecoach.
We watched a shadow puppet show of Jack and the Beanstalk. The kids seriously squealed with excitement!
Ginger meets the Gingerbread men!
The decorations were quite impressive, especially considering that they were all put up in one night!
Each of the kids made themselves into the Queen of Heart's card army from Alice in Wonderland. They were so creative! It was really cute to see the different personalities in the cards.
Naomi actually drew this pattern herself on a sheet of paper and I helped her draw it onto the big card. Then she plastered on the foam shapes, applied the puffy paint, and glued on the laces.
Naomi was really excited to show us her playground. They have a bunch of these little cars that the kids can drive around. It was kind of like bumper cars:)
ROAD RAGE!!!
Before leaving we watched a fashion show that the kids had filmed on their fairy tale dress up day.
We said goodbye and exited past Alice in Wonderland's caterpillar, who is apparently fond of sneakers! What a fun afternoon:)
