Won't You Be My Neighbor?

One of the really fun things about Hong Kong is that there are always interactive displays for kids in the shopping malls.  They are usually very elaborate and include lots of awesome photo opportunities. At our local mall they recently did a display called "My Neighborhood." They had huge photos of our neighborhood, blown up about 2 stories high, then they added some comic strip looking characters.  They also set up mini stores, cafes, and restaurants that look just like the real shops in our area for kids to play in. We took the girls one afternoon to check it out.
From these pictures it looks like you are really outside:)

Waiting for some char siu.
After sitting up to the table Ginger promptly reached for the cardboard coke.  Yes, she is her mother's daughter:)
Even on the fake street Naomi held tightly to Ginger's hand!  Good girl!
Please, won't you be our neighbor?

  1. Holy moly! That really is amazing! Although, the old lady in the pictures sorta looks like she is growing a beard. But still, wow! You were in my dream last night, by the way. I suppose I am getting SUPER excited to see you guys!!!!

  2. That is so neat! It really does look so real, and Ginger is such a lucky little girl to have such an amazing and protective sister like Naomi. I love how Naomi is hoping her hand on the "fake" street. Xoxo!
