The four of us took a stroll along the promenade on the harbor side of our apartments. This is what our place looks like from the front. They are actually nine individual towers in a curved row, but from this angle they look like one massive building. We live in an area called Tai Kok Tsui on the west side of the Kowloon peninsula. The land for our neighborhood was only recently reclaimed (in the last 15ish years).
This is the view across the harbor, although the close buildings you see are still part of Kowloon. They are built at the Kowloon MTR (subway) station, one stop from us. The tallest building being the ICC, it's the 4th tallest building in the world. The skyscrapers in the distance are downtown on the island. The MTR goes under the harbor from Kowloon Station to Hong Kong Station downtown. We love that we are just two stops away.
We passed through a short area of construction so our pathway got a little tight. This allowed us to get up close and personal with some boats along the promenade. This gate leads to...

This is what construction looks like in Hong Kong. Bamboo-rod scaffolding! It struck me as crazy the first time I saw it, but it's everywhere here. That's just how they do it:)
Naomi loves riding her scooter around the plazas.
I loved the texture of this wall so I called Naomi over to take a photo. There she was, posing with a camera pointed and ready to shoot and a cleaning lady walked right in front of the camera as if we didn't exist and planted her sweeper right next to Naomi. It was hilarious!!! We were standing there in all of this wide open space and she picked that spot? Huh;)

After some playtime we headed back toward home.
We stayed out just long enough to watch the sun begin to lower in the sky.
