San Diego Surprise!

After a wonderful weekend in Orange County we were surprised by a request from Jon Jon's work for him to attend some meetings in San Diego. Since we were already in Southern California we decided to extend our vacation for a few more sunny days.

Naomi LOVES hotels! She happily tucked her animals into bed for a good night's sleep!

We stopped in the outlets at Carlsbad to pick up some more work clothes for Jon. I promised Naomi a "ride" if she could be happy while we shopped. By "ride" I meant she could sit in the toy of her choice. Up until now I have been very crafty to conceal the actual ride part of the quarter rides to Naomi, because we used to have quarter laundry so those were some precious coins! You should have seen her face light up when the tractor started moving and singing! Thanks daddy:)

We girls spent the next afternoon at Seaport Village. It was such a beautiful day!

Gigi is now happy in her car seat!

I'm not sure exactly what changed, but she now loves to ride!

Can't get over how blue Gigi's eyes are! This little one loves to smile! The second your eyes meet she begins beaming, as if to keep you from ever looking anywhere else:)

The only souvenir we picked up in San Diego was this red tongue toy for Pippin. It is like a kong (for those of you with dogs) but when he holds the ball part in his mouth the rest hangs out like a tongue. IT is pretty funny to see. Naomi insisted that he would love it.

She was right. Just look at his smile!!!
